The Bruins will play their first home game of the season at the Walter Camp Center in St. Louis, Missouri, on Saturday, March 10 against ECu Football, the school announced Tuesday.
A pair of former UCLA basketball players have been hired as coaches at the ECU Football program, the program announced Tuesday in a news release.
David Wilson, the head coach at the University of Cincinnati, will serve as interim head coach and will be responsible for recruiting and recruiting-related activities for the football program, UC said in a release.
A graduate of UC-Irvine, Wilson joined the Bruins in 2011 as a graduate assistant, serving as an assistant head coach for one season and then as a head coach in 2016.
Prior to his tenure at UC, Wilson spent five years as an offensive assistant at UConn, where he was a three-time All-ACC selection.
He also served as the offensive coordinator at Temple in 2015 and the quarterbacks coach at Temple from 2015-17.
Prior to the 2017 season, Wilson worked with former UCLA players on the recruiting side at UC.
During his tenure as the head men’s basketball coach at UC-Davis, he helped lead the Aggies to two consecutive Big 12 Championships.
