The game will see the Hawkeyes take on Iowa State, who won the league title by beating Oklahoma in the semifinals of the 2017 College Football Playoff.
Iowa State will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing 2016 season where it finished 11-5 in the Big Ten.
The Hawkeyes’ last winning season came in 2010 when they finished 9-7.
In the end, Iowa State was only able to go on to win the conference title in 2019.
The Iowa football team is currently ranked 14th in the USA Today Coaches poll.
This will be the first time Iowa has played a top 10 opponent since the 2011 season when they played TCU in the Cotton Bowl.
The Red Raiders will be hoping to avoid a third straight losing season.
The team has a 5-1 record against Big 12 opponents and has scored over 2,000 points in four of the last five seasons.
Iowa plays in the Sun Belt Conference with TCU and Texas Tech in the conference.
The red-hot Horned Frogs will be seeking their third consecutive Big 12 win.
